Chapter 38

Cynthia was sleeping when she heard some noises. Before she could turn off her bedside lamp, someone grabbed her arms and covered her mouth so that she wouldn't make any noise. She was now wide awake but the room was pitch black that she could only make out some shadows.

The unknown person carried her out of her room. Cynthia tried making even a little sound but it was impossible because of how tight her mouth was covered. She tried using her peripheral vision to look for the bodyguards who were supposed to look out for her, but they were nowhere to be seen in the completely dark house.

When she noticed that there was no bodyguard at all to come to her rescue, she started panicking and thrashing around. She made it difficult for her kidnapper but the unknown person was undeniably strong and well built. And her strength was nowhere compared to his.
