Throughout the ride home the couple didn't utter a word to each other. While Alex was busy looking outside the rolled-down window and tapping his knees in agitation, Sophia was busy fidgeting and looking at him with worry evident on her features.

Sophia fished out her phone from her handbag and started texting Jayden. After all, they wanted to know how her dinner date went.

'Jay, I think I may have lost Alex.' Sophia sent it to Jayden.

Within a few seconds, her phone chimed signaling a new message.

'What do you mean by that? Everyone is swooning over the internet about the romantic way he asked you out. Or wait… are you trying to pull my legs?'

Sophia snorted silently at the text message.

'Everything was going alright up until we bumped into Kelvin freaking Grammer and the fool had to leak the secret. I thought you said he was a professional?' Sophia could feel her hands curling into a fist because of how angry she was.
