As they ushered Marissa in, Ruby's eyes never left her friend's face. "What happened to you?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

Marissa's eyes welled up, and she collapsed into Ruby's embrace, her body shaking with sobs. "I've been on the streets for days... I didn't know where else to go."

“Sshhh its okay baby” she consoled the girl. She never knew that Marissa would still be with Windsor. After she had left the gang, she thought she left too.
