Chapter 4

Moments after Henry was dealt with and everyone in the party left, leaving him unconscious, what looked like a middle-aged man dressed in a black suit walked towards where Henry lay motionless.

The man had been in the room the whole time the incident was happening and witnessed everything.

He bent down in front of Henry to examine him closely.

"Those guys really did a number on him." The man mused, pulling out his phone and began to dial a number on it.

The phone rang for a few seconds until the other finally answered.

"Bring in the cars and come into the building quickly." The man ordered before disconnecting the call.

The sounds of tires screeching could be heard outside as different shiny black Lamborghini began to drive into the compound. The fleet of cars pulled over in front of the buildings and several individuals dressed in black suits alighted the car and rushed into the building.

"Boss, what's the matter?" One of the men amongst the group inquired as he approached the man who was still examining Henry.

"Take this man to the car right now! He needs immediate medical attention!" The man ordered.

The group gave a collective bow as they walked towards Henry and lifted him off the floor and began to walk towards the car. Henry was placed comfortably in the passenger's seat of the Lamborghini and the man entered a different car entirely.

After making sure everything was set, the fleet of cars began to drive out of the compound one by one.

The morning sun rose up and the rays of the sun flickered into the room through the window and shone brightly into the eyes of Henry, causing him to wake up slowly.

Henry opened his eyes sluggishly while groaning slightly. With his eyes slightly opened and he caught a glimpse of the ceiling, a puzzled expression appeared on his face.

Unlike the cracked and broken ceiling he had in his apartment, the one he saw now looked neat and a really expensive light bulb could be seen above him, which made him confused.

Henry moved his gaze to the side and quickly jumped up from the bed after realizing he was in a whole new location. The room was extremely neat with different modern and expensive designs. Even the bed he laid on was vast and comfy.

"Where the hell am i? Heaven?" Henry questioned himself in contemplation. The last thing he remembers was Danny's men beating the hell out of him before he blacked out. It wouldn't shock Henry if they did kill him and he was now in heaven.

"Relax, stop moving around, you are still very weak." A smooth feminine voice was heard across the room causing Henry to shift his gaze and all he saw was a pretty lady that was around Elena's age.

"Who are you? Where am i?" Henry demanded.

"I am Sophia. Mr. Luther assigned me to be your personal doctor." Sophia informed me.

"Mr. Luther? Who the hell is..." Henry paused in his words as he remembered the name Luther from somewhere. "You mean Mr. Luther? Like, Mr. Luther?" Henry questioned, trying to get things straight.

"Yes, Mr. Luther. The number one business tycoon in the whole of this country." Sophia answered back.

Henry remained silent after hearing Sophia's response with his fingers rubbing his chin in contemplation.

"What does he want with me?" Henry questioned with a slight look of confusion. Henry had no business with a man like Luther and he had never met him his whole life so he struggled to understand just what he wanted with him.

"I honestly don't know what he wants with you, but he found you severely injured and decided to bring you in for treatment. Do you mind telling me all what happened back there? Why did they choose to beat you up?" Sophia inquired.

Henry bowed his head with his fists clenched as he recalled Elena's hateful words and all the humiliation he went through back there.

"Let's just say i crossed my boundary and got what i deserved." Henry finally responded after several minutes of staying mute. He had no intention of narrating his whole embarrassing break up story to some nurse he  knew, so he chose to keep it simple.

"You should be careful next time. The injuries they inflicted on you was really severe and you are only lucky to be alive right now." Sophia spoke in a worrisome tone and Henry gave a nod.

The entrance door of the room swung open and in came a middle-aged man clad in a black suit.

"Mr. Luther." Sophia greeted with a bow as the man approached them.

"How is he doing?" Luther questioned in a deep and matured tone.

"He is doing okay. I already took care of his injuries and all he needs now is rest." Sophia informed me.

"That's good. I will like to have a word with him alone." Luther declared. Sophia then gave a slight bow before walking out of the room, leaving Luther alone with Henry.

"Trust you are doing good." Luther sounded as he sat down on a sofa beside Henry's bed.

"Y-yes, sir. The nurse said you brought me in and took care of me, thank you very much, sir." Henry appreciated it with a bow.

"No problem." Luther responded, gesturing to Henry to raise his head.

"If I may ask..why did you help me?" Henry inquired.

"That would be a story for another time." Luther answered back. "Give me details on why they attacked you. Although I witnessed part of it, I couldn't quite grasp what it was all about." He added.

Henry let out a heavy sigh before starting to explain.

"Being poor is the worst thing that could ever happen to someone. I get treated like trash and nobody. The only person who treated me with love was Elena. I did my best to make her happy. Working over time, doing two to three jobs just to make sure she lacks nothing."

"Until she told me it was all a game and she never really loved me. I mean, who would ever love a worthless trash like Henry? As if that's not enough, she still went on to bring in her new boyfriend and cheat right in front of me. That's when i lost it and attacked him, and he called in his boys for defense."

Henry explained, his voice mixed with anger and sadness.

The room fell silent after Henry finished with his narration, until Luther finally broke it.

"I understand exactly how you feel. That's why I am here to elevate you, Henry." Luther informed.

"I understand exactly how you feel. That's why I am here to elevate you, Henry." Luther informed.

Henry sat there with a puzzled expression after hearing Luther's words.
