Clare cleared her throat as soon as Elena entered the house.

“Oh Clare” she flopped down on a chair and sighed. “ I am so sorry babes. Something came up”

“ I suppose Elena, I deserve an explanation” Clare put a hand on her waist with a frown evident on her face. Elena stared at her friend. She couldn’t tell her friend what had happened.
