Rose was shivering on the spot and her breathing was hard.

The aura imposed by the armed men was threatening even though they had now retreated their guns.

'This shabbily dressed loser, is he an important person? Why are they bowing before him? ' She wondered and slowly lifted her head to see William who stood there with a hand in his pocket.

This scary squad of the SWAT team who had everyone unable to breathe for fear are now bowing in front of this young man.

This is simply unbelievable.

Were they acting a movie scene here? The director must be really good but alas there is no camera around.

Why are they respecting this ordinary person?

Everyone had their questions especially the three women who have been left dumbfounded.

Mr. Grey had arrived at the scene and to the greatest shock of everyone, he collapsed to the floor and clung to William's legs.

"Young Master," The branch manager of Exclusive Avenue Bank cried aloud, "You have finally returned"

'What!?' Everyone gasped in shock.

Mr. Grey didn't care about his expensive suit and had laid on the floor like a child.

William had become the center of attraction in the bank.

Seeing the peering eyes from all directions, he felt embarrassed and couldn't help but help Grey Almond to his feet.

"Old friend, don't do this to me. I'm embarrassed" William's tone was calm and he could see the tears forming in Grey's eyes.

This man could indeed be emotional.

"Young Master, I've searched the entire world for you. Where have you been?"

Only if Grey knew he had been right here in this City.

The best place to hide was the last place one would expect you to be.

Instead of replying, William rolled his eyes to see the watching crowd and Grey got the message.

He turned to the armed men and commanded them, " Quickly, send everyone away, the young master doesn't want them here"

At once, the men in black turned around and proceeded in the direction of the crowd who wondered what was happening.

The three women quickly rushed forward and one of them spoke up immediately, "Mr. Grey, perhaps you're mistaken. This man must be an imposter and not the person you think he is"

Her friends supported her.

"Yes, don't be deceived. He is definitely a con or something. We all know this man"

"Mr. Grey, he is a bad person and he drives an old garbage truck. This man is a trash picker!"

This was Grey Almond, a very powerful man whom no one would dare to offend in this city.

Why was he being respectful to a poorly dressed young man?

He must have mistaken him for someone else.

A cold light flashed across Grey Almond's face as he barked madly, "Even I dare not insult the young master. Who are you?"

"Me?..." A bright smile appeared on the woman's face as she only paid attention to his last words.

"I'm the wife of Robert Davis. We own a--"

Bam!

The woman didn't finish speaking as she was thrown to the side by a powerful slap from Grey who had a menacing look.

"No one in this city will dare say such nonsense, whoever your family is"

The eyeballs of the other two women almost dropped in shock as they shrunk backward.

Their families were ofcourse influential in New Spring and own successful businesses but Grey Almond was no pushover.

He had connections with tycoons who visited the bank branch occasionally and also the top power players in the city.

This was no man that could be messed with.

One call from him can ruin their family.

"You must be with her.." Grey's cold eyes flashed in their direction and their legs started to shake for fear.

"No... No.. No.." They stammered incoherently, "We don't know her"

The two women quickly turned around and joined the staff who had been led out by the SWAT team.

The woman on the ground was shocked by the betrayal of her friend and hot tears burnt the inner walls of her eyes.

They really denied and left her.

"Scram before I break your legs!" Grey had returned his gaze to her like a tiger who had seen a prey.

She covered her swollen face and started to run.

Everyone was forcefully sent out of the banking hall including the staffs who were curious about the scene.

Seeing all of this, Rose carefully took her handbag from under the desk and made to run away.

Could this mysterious person be under the disguise of a poor man?

He was powerful enough to make her boss drop to the ground and now she had offended him.

This person was capable of killing her and leaving no traces behind.

"Who asked you to leave?" The husked voice of William sent her heart pounding and her legs trembled.

She thought he was some ordinary country bumpkin who had come to cause trouble in the bank.

Slowly, she turned to see the big smile on William's face.

It was now she realized how handsome the man in front of her was.

He was now different in her sight and she couldn't stare him directly in the eyes.

Within seconds, the armed ruffians had all been killed by the maids no one knew were armed and capable of handling firearms. What no one knew was that they were undercover agents who had infiltrated the Sinclair mansion under Evelyn’s instruction. The one who had fired first was Tina, the team leader of the undercover group placed in the manor. She had been waiting for the right moment to act and had not expected Amelia to suddenly take poison. "What do you think you are doing?" Amelia stepped forward fearlessly to challenge him.She thought this was just another episode of a man trying to get her at all costs, but this had gone too far. Even the sons of the power-players had never tried to attack her family manor with an army of practitioners."What am I doing?" Marcus laughed strangely. "Haven't your parents told you already that you belong to me? I even extended my kindness to bring you to my side, but they took you from me." He spoke like he was the victim who had been wronged.Vera could no longer hold herself; she gritted her teeth and said, "Listen, Marcus, you can't have my daughter. You are everything that's bad—everything we don't want for Amelia. By the way, you are even too old."Marcus's eyes turned dark and he glared murderously at her. She naturally shivered and staggered back. He said coldly, "Your daughter belongs to me. Anyone who dares to stop me today will die."Just as he finished speaking, the remaini

Now that Marcus is alone, he doesn't stands no chance, right?" Edward asked no one in particular as they watched the face-off between the two men in the distance. They had no idea what they were talking about.General Wade, whose organs had healed a little, managed to rise to a seated position and say, "Shane Chain might be a half step, but we can't be so sure. I can't explain what I felt from Marcus just now.""You don't have to make excuses for your failure, Wade," Vera said, folding her arms. "Shane is a high-level practitioner.""That's right," one of her sisters agreed. "Who knows? Marcus might even be begging for mercy right now."Meanwhile, on the open field, Shane frowned after hearing Marcus speak."Bow? Who do you think you are? Oh—you're that little Marcus running around. I heard you used to run the mafia in this city long ago, but this is a new age," he said, puffing out his chest. "Take a look around: your practitioners are dead and all that's left is you. "What nonsense!" Amelia was visibly angered as she stamped her feet. She couldn't believe that her mother would even try to suggest this. Why use her as a bargaining chip when there were other bargaining options? An elder uncle stepped forward and spoke fiercely. "Don't even dare to say no. Now that our practitioners don't stand a chance against Marcus, only this half-step, Shane Chain, can save us.""That's right," Amelia's eldest aunt also supported, saying, "Amelia dear, don't you want to see our family saved today? If we get destroyed, how then will you become the heir of this family in the future?"A distant uncle chirped in, too. "Shane Chain is a great champion, even though he is a rogue from the east. He is feared throughout New Spring for dealing with two half-steps like himself within two days. Just imagine if he becomes a part of our Sinclair family—even the power players won't dare to offend us."How could they not grasp this moment to get themselves associated with a half
