Entitlement

I wake up to see myself In a room.

I look up and see an elderly man standing in front of the bed in laying in.

“You're awake." He says.

“Who are you?" I asked him, suddenly wary.

“Just a nobody. I was there when you were being taken out of a car by two hefty men, they were going to kill you but because a few other people were there, they took off because they didn't want attention." The man was about his mid sixties. He looked frail but not so much.

“How did I get here?." I asked him.

“My neighbours, Jay and Norris brought you here." He told me.

“I would like to thank them." I said sitting up

“You don't need to... Are you hungry?." The man asked me. Pushing me back to my belly.

I would have offered something to the man but he refuses Evey chance of mine to appreciate him for saving my life.

“I would have done it for anybody else " he said to me.

“Why were they after you?." He asked me some moments after. “The men, they looked really angry, do you owe them money?." The man
