seventy seven

Hans' POV

I part ways with Sirius and Diane because I wanted to be alone, especially away from Diane. In a very short time it would be midnight.

I walk to the dresser and I change into a more comfortable clothe. I feel sleepy, instead of going to bed, I go to my closet and I get out the bag of rubies.

I walk back to my Bureau and I take a seat, i pour the contents of the bag on the table and when I'm sure each and every piece of ruby is out of the bag, I drop it aside.

The rubies aren't big in size but they're not small either. They're the size of regular pills and as I count them, I realize that they're thirty nine in number.

“Why would that man trade these precious stones for just a horse, unless maybe it wasn't just a horse..." I said to myself, my voice echo through out the room and when it returns to me, I realize that everywhere is awfully quiet and I'm alone.

I examine the rubies and I count them back into the bag... I would keep the rubies safe In case I
