Marital vows

Alice emerged from the shower after a while wearing a white slip dress which showed off her smooth neck and arms.

In the past, she would have never dared to wear such a thing but now, she was in a good mood, enjoying her perfect new skin.

Just then, she saw Elijah seated on the couch, smoking while staring at nothing in particular causing her to pause.

Taking a deep breath, she walked over and sat down next to him.

Silence followed for a few seconds before she finally spoke up. “She's your daughter.”

Elijah paused his smoking, his eyes flickering with emotions before he asked. “When did it happen?”

“Before the fire incident. You remember that night well, don't you?”

Elijah gave no response but he remembered almost like it was yesterday.

Alice had just closed a major deal that would bring in several million for Wesen Corporation, and so she threw a party to celebrate.

Surprisingly, she had invited Elijah along with her other friends.

They'd gotten drunk and everyone was out of it.
