“Ah, you’re finally home, dear!” Georgiana happily said it, putting the magazine aside as she got up from the white sofa.

She was a very elegant woman, tall, slender. Her very blond hair was almost always tied in an elegant bun at the back of her head. The impeccable make-up, the clothes always feminine tailoring. High shoes with square heels. She was the epitome of the well-educated and completely traditional rich woman.

“I went out with Lucy, Mom.” Damon said and Georgiana smiled.

“Oh, that's great! And how are things going between you and her? She is such a good girl!” Georgiana adored Lucy, and although the Fairfax were not as wealthy as the Montgomerys, Georgiana felt that the young woman was ideal: pretty, educated, intelligent, and studious. She didn't pick fights, she knew her place. And, of course, Damon was in love, now.

“Things are going well.” Damon said and sat down on the couch, followed by his mother. The maid approached and Georgiana asked for refreshments to be served
