Confrontation

After classes, Brandon left the building and someone blocked his way. Since he was thinking about his life and what to do next, he didn’t see the person’s face right away, but when he did he was a bit surprised. Rindley Fairfax.

“Brandon, right?” the man asked, looking at Brandon with a certain… contempt?

Although Brandon knew who the guy was, he decided to pretend he didn’t. How could he know? He would have to explain where he first saw Rindley—and it had nothing to do with Lucy, but with the secret he wanted to hold to himself: his family.

“And who is asking?”

Rindley took a step in Brandon’s direction. Although Rindley was a big man, Brandon was much taller for about a head and, now, filling up. Not that people could really tell, since he used baggy clothes, but even his face was larger.

“Don’t play dumb, ok? I know you and Lucy have been more than too friendly. And you, Brandon, seem like the stalker type.”
