Confrontation

"No, Gideon didn't die." Brandon answered, but he couldn't be sure. He hoped that the story that twins feel about each other was true, because despite having lived a lifetime without knowing he had a brother, now he couldn't see himself without him.

“Come on, Peter, we have to get out of here.” Lucy whispered and the boy nodded in agreement.

A noise coming from below them made them jump to alert. Brandon placed the two behind him and held the gun in both hands. Peter was shaking.

“Keep calm and do what we say, okay?” Lucy asked Peter, who nodded in agreement. He swallowed nervously.

Brandon glanced toward the staircase, trying to see any movement. Despite not having good eyesight, he was able to see movement. There were more than one person.

"Whoever they are, they are fast." He commented and looked around. “Let's go upstairs.”

They started up to the terrace. Brandon would have more room there for a melee if necessary. Maybe they could jump to another building from there.
