Gideon bent down, covering Wanda's body with his own. The car was right next to them so he opened the door and got in with her and asked his father to drive.

"What the hell!" Gideon screamed. “You don't have a gun by any chance, do you?” he asked William, who was nervous and looked to the glove compartment. Gideon understood and opened the compartment.

“No big deal, but still a gun.” William said, concentrating on the road ahead. Two cars were following them, which meant that one of the three inside was the target and, most likely, Gideon.

“What are you going to do with a gun?” Wanda asked, startled. “You just got released from jail!”

“I'm not going back to that hell hole, my love. Rest assured about it!” Gideon said and rolled down the vehicle's window, shooting back. He shot in one of the tires of a car. “Stay low!” He yelled at Wanda, who nodded, covering her head.
