Landon was not happy. Seeing that Maurice had ignored him to attend to the couple made his expression grim.

“Hello, excuse me but I came here first,” Landon complained as he walked over to Maurice.

Maurice frowned as she raised an eyebrow. “And so? Can’t you see I’m attending to important clients?”

“But I was here first. First come, first served. Isn’t that how it’s normally done?”

“So you want me to leave our important clients for you? Who do you think you are?! I’ve tried to be nice to you based on my store etiquette but do not test me. Don’t tell me you want me to waste my time on you and leave actual customers?” Maurice retorted.

“But I just told you I want to buy a car so why would I want to waste your time?!” Landon was dumbfounded.

Maurice let out a scornful laughter. “You still don’t want to drop the act, do you? You can’t afford a car in our store so why are you pretending? I knew from the very beginning so why can’t you just save yourself from humiliation and get lost!”
