1/2 chapters for today. One chapter remaining.
. . A thunderous crack broke through the sky, roaring across the arena like the battle cry of a storm god. The lightning illuminated the entire coliseum, casting stark, momentary shadows that flickered against the massive stone walls. As quickly as the sky had been rent apart, it closed, leaving a momentary silence that filled the air with a sense of anticipation. Then, as the last echoes of the thunder died down, five figures appeared, hovering high in the sky above the arena. One of them was an instantly recognizable face. “Golden Zeus…” someone murmured reverently from the crowd, and soon the entire arena buzzed with hushed voices, each person repeating the name like a mantra. The atmosphere became almost palpable as the entire audience fell silent, every eye fixed on the figures above. Golden Zeus, the most renowned martial artist of them all, floated effortlessly alongside four others. Slowly, they began their descent from the heavens, their robes billowing gently around the
.."You have ten minutes to choose your teammates and form a team of five," Golden Zeus announced with finality, his deep voice echoing throughout the vast arena. His words hung in the air like a heavy decree, leaving the martial artists no choice but to act quickly. Once the announcement was made, Golden Zeus leaned back in his seat. His sharp gaze swept across the arena, taking in the reactions of all the martial artists gathered there. It was clear that the fighters had different responses to the rules of the first round. Some seemed satisfied, nodding to themselves as if they had anticipated this, while others appeared disgruntled, frowning in dissatisfaction. A few simply remained passive, neither pleased nor displeased, but clearly indifferent to the unfolding situation. However, no matter how they felt about the rules or the way things were progressing, one fact remained unchanged: they all had to participate in the first round of the competition, whether they liked it or not
..Landon did not know whether to laugh or cry when he heard the middle-aged man’s question. He glanced at Logan, perplexed. After all, Logan was young as well. In fact, Logan didn’t appear to be more than two years older than himself. Yet, no one seemed to be making a big deal about Logan’s age or questioning his ability to compete.Logan scratched his head, a sheepish grin forming on his face as he processed the man’s concern. “Landon may look young, but he’s quite talented,” Logan replied confidently, though there was a slight hesitation in his tone, as if he were trying to reassure not only the others but himself as well. The middle-aged man who had raised the concern shook his head and spoke up again, his voice firm. “Sir Flying Logan, we both know that there are a lot of people in this competition who are talented. Talent alone doesn’t win battles or secure victories. What decides the outcome between two skilled opponents is experience. When two people are evenly matched in ski
. . “Good luck trying to protect him, Logan. You’re going to need it.” Muzan and his team backed away slowly, each step deliberate, exuding an air of malicious intent as they kept their eyes locked on Logan and his group. The looks they cast were not those of mere rivals but rather of predators toying with their prey, relishing the anticipation of a kill. Their mocking smirks lingered for a moment before they turned and walked away, as if losing interest in an unworthy opponent. “Such pathetic losers!” spat out the first middle-aged man from Logan’s team, his voice tinged with annoyance as he watched Muzan and his group retreat. His irritation was palpable, the disdain in his tone clear for anyone to hear. He couldn’t believe the audacity of Muzan to issue such a provocation. “Sir Logan has always been at odds with Master Muzan. They’ve been sworn enemies for as long as I can remember, so it’s only natural that Muzan would target our team specifically,” the second middle-aged man
. . “Flying Logan?” Mateo’s eyes widened slightly, glinting with a hint of surprise when he heard Logan utter his name so calmly and confidently. He had certainly heard of Flying Logan’s feats before—extraordinary achievements that had made a name for him in the martial arts world. Feats so impressive that even someone as proud as Mateo had to acknowledge them. The mere mention of Logan’s name would normally be enough to make people take a step back, but Mateo wasn’t just anyone. He prided himself on his own potential, and there was no way he would drop his pride so easily, not even for someone of Logan’s caliber. “You’re Flying Logan, and so what?” Mateo sneered, puffing out his chest with defiance. “Do you expect me to tremble in fear just because of your reputation?” “No, not at all,” Logan replied coolly, his expression unchanging. “I’m not asking you to be afraid. I’m simply stating that if you want to get to my teammate, you’ll have to go through me first. And if you’re will
. . After making her bold declaration, the fierce lady turned and strode away with a determined air, not sparing a glance at anyone else. It was as if her mind was already focused on the upcoming competition, leaving no room for distractions or further conversation. “Let’s move out,” Logan commanded firmly. He glanced over his shoulder, and Landon, along with the rest of the team, followed him closely, their expressions serious. “Hahaha… let the race begin already, so we can see some people embarrass themselves as they attempt to prove their so-called talent,” the middle-aged man in Logan’s group remarked mockingly as they continued walking towards the starting line. “I can’t wait to witness their pathetic display of skills. It’ll be amusing to watch them flounder around, trying to show off,” another teammate added with a smirk, his voice dripping with derision. Hearing Logan’s team’s comments directed at him, Mateo gritted his teeth in frustration, his face flushed with anger. “
. . Noticing that Hendrix had already reached the finish line, the rest of the martial artists became more determined than ever. The intensity of the race escalated dramatically, and the level of violence soared as competitors clashed ferociously, each refusing to back down. The reason why the martial artists reacted with such vigor was clear: now they were all competing for second place, and not a single one of them was willing to let that opportunity slip through their fingers. Most of the martial artists had reluctantly accepted that Hendrix would claim the top spot in the competition. Given his overwhelming prowess and dominance, they didn’t dare to entertain the hope of winning first place. Instead, they set their sights on the second-best position, pouring all their energy into securing it. With such fierce competition, the death race became a battlefield where brutality reigned supreme. Many fighters were mercilessly killed without hesitation. Some were so gravely injured th
I won’t be able to upload till Tuesday 12pm US time. Yes, I know my uploads has been inconsistent this past few days or even weeks. Maybe my upload chapters have been always been inconsistent, but we can all agree that it has been more inconsistent than it was. As for my reason for uploading till Tuesday is because today is my baby daughter’s dedication. Nigerians would know more about this event because it is a required event done for every New born baby. Preparing for this event has been very draining lately coupled with the fact I have to get used to my new life as a married man. Taking care of baby is really demanding mostly when it’s only just you and the spouse and the baby is the nagging type lol. It’s as I said is the reason my uploads have been inconsistent lately. But still I know all these are excuses….I want to give you all more quality chapters for this fight which is why I want to begin uploading again by on Tuesday 12Pm Us time.
