Chapter 0002

At that moment, a senior employee of Majestic Height glanced back and found rows of guards in front of the lobby bowing deeply, followed by all the Majestic Height staff also bowing in reverence.

Unfortunately for the senior hotel employee, no one walked out into the lobby except for a young man he was about to slap. At that instant, the man lowered his hand, quickly bowing as low as possible while muttering his words in tremble.

"Young Master… Young Master, we apologize for our tardiness in welcoming you…"

Calvin smirked cynically, pausing momentarily to pat the shoulder of the employee who had nearly slapped him.

“Hey, weren't you about to smack me a moment ago? What's with the sudden show of respect?" Calvin asked casually.

The employee's body trembled violently, his teeth chattering and feeling his throat constricted.

Calvin grinned widely and said, "Stop shaking like that and calm down a bit. My mood is quite good today, so the worst that could happen to you is that you will get fired."

Though Calvin was only joking, it was enough to make the employee tremble in fear and anxiety.

Meanwhile, as Calvin arrived in front of the hotel lobby, the elite guards formed a special formation as if preparing to escort Calvin Reed's departure from the hotel.

"Mr. Reed, please enter the car," said William Jones, the head of the elite guards.

Calvin got into the car with William as the driver. Soon after the car left Majestic Height Hotel, Calvin initiated a conversation.

"Let me guess, those guys are currently acting as the president's henchmen? And the president wants to spy on me using those three clowns?" Calvin asked William.

For a moment, William Jones almost choked on his own breath. The three clowns referred to by Calvin Reed were, of course, The Southern King, The Dragon Emperor, and The Knight of the Night.

In fact, those three figures were the three greatest and most feared warlords renowned by many. Casually, Calvin Reed referred to them as 'clowns'.

Of course, only someone of his caliber could say so. And that made William shudder again, imagining Calvin Reed's power.

"Yes, it seems so, Mr. Reed," William replied after he had overcome the horror sensation in his chest. "Should I decline their dinner invitation, Sir?"

Calvin shook his head. "Just assume they're trying to spy on me, but isn't that too ridiculous? Ha ha, accept the invitation."

William Jones nodded, so far, he always trusted all the decisions made by his master. Therefore, William Jones immediately called one of the war gods and informed them that Calvin Reed accepted their invitation.

After the matter of the banquet invitation was settled, Calvin Reed asked William about the secret mission; to find a girl who was most sought after by Calvin Reed. The mission was highly personal for Calvin but had significant urgency.

"I've done my best, Mr. Reed. At the latest, by this evening, I predict I'll definitely complete this mission,” said William Jones proudly.

Calvin Reed smiled broadly then asked William to take him to a certain place, this was another mission he had planned.

"William, in the western area of Maplewood City, there's an elite housing estate called Alexandria Residence. Take me there in less than fifteen minutes from now."

Hearing Calvin Reed's command, William immediately stepped on the gas pedal and drove at maximum speed. He had been trained directly by Calvin to drive at high speeds with minimal risk potential.

Fourteen minutes later…

Calvin got out of the car and asked William to leave, he didn't want to attract attention in front of his future in-laws. Moreover, when he was about to cancel the engagement with his fiancée.

"Considering my simple appearance, I think they could easily agree to cancel our engagement," mumbled Calvin just before he entered the mansion owned by the Miller family.

A few years before that day, Calvin's adoptive grandfather had arranged his engagement with a granddaughter of the Miller family. Although Calvin and his fiancée had never met or known each other, their grandfathers had agreed to unite them.

However, there was one major thing that made Calvin decide to cancel the engagement.

"Emily, hold on for a moment…" A scream was heard from the front yard of the mansion.

Ignoring the security who wanted to ask him, Calvin rushed to the source of the sound. He was sure someone was in an emergency situation.

"Mr. Miller, your daughter has no chance of survival," said a senior doctor, the number one doctor in Maplewood City.

Edward Miller shook his head. He looked desperately at his daughter, Emily Miller, who was lying stiff on the ground with foam coming out of her mouth.

"Doctor, everyone calls you an unmatched great doctor! You must be able to heal my daughter," Edward shouted desperately.

The senior doctor shook his head several times. "When I arrived here, it's highly likely that your daughter's stomach had already burst. I must tell you, no one can bring back your daughter's life, Mr. Miller."

"I can!"

Edward Miller, David Longman – the doctor, and both of his assistance turned to the source of the voice. They were surprised by the sudden arrival of foreign man before them.

"Young man, this is not the time to joke!" scolded David Longman, the senior doctor.

"I know," said Calvin as he squatted down to examine Emily's condition. Calvin Reed almost stumbled as he was shocked to see that the unconscious woman's face was almost 100% identical to the woman who had slept with him the night before. But of course, in such a critical moment, he had no right to think of anything disturbing in his head.

Immediately, Calvin touched Emily's wrist. "I can heal her," said Calvin as he sat down and prepared to do something.

"You crazy scumbag!" scolded the doctor again. "Get out of here before you mess things up even more!"

However, before the doctor could act to chase Calvin away, Edward Miller knelt down while crying silently.

"Young man, if you are serious about your words, do it, heal my daughter. I will owe you my life. I’ll do everything you wish."
