54. A Destination

"Is everything okay?" Joseph, who was sitting in the driver's seat of the military truck, looked at all the passengers through the top rearview mirror.

Jansen, Katthes, and the other five simply nodded their heads. After what had happened a moment ago, the looks on the faces of Jansen and the others seemed to be extremely relieved.

"I didn't expect to finally get out of that prison," said one of the men who had been smiling with relief.

Jansen, Katthes, and Joseph looked at each other. They looked proud of each other after the struggle to save all these citizens.

"How long have you been waiting for this moment?" asked Jansen.

"I think seven years," said another woman whose hair was very shaggy. She was no longer afraid of Jansen.

"Ah, I understand how you felt all those years in prison," Jansen tried to say gently.

"Whatever ever happened between you, the most important thing now is that you are free of them all," said Katthes, giving them all a smile.
