74. An Evidence For Richard's Crime

"Did my sentence imply I was alluding to strata?" Richard asked back. "I'm just saying that we have no differences. We should all be friends, even without seniority."

Jansen nodded his head in understanding of Richard. Although he didn't fully trust Richard because he still had a nagging feeling.

"Fine if that's what you mean, but I'll consider being friends with you," Jansen said.

Richard's eyebrows furrowed in confusion. When Jansen had only taken two steps forward, he immediately grabbed Jansen's wrist.

"Why would you consider? Was what I did to save you not enough?" Richard asked the question in an urgent tone.

Jansen immediately jerked his hand slightly to avoid being restrained by Richard. He looked at Richard seriously for the umpteenth time.

"You should know, I need you to convince me more about whether you are who the two officers say you are or not," Jansen said firmly.
