Mael stiffened in his own reaction, grasping a hold of what just happened.

Two men he has never seen in his life; because he has back his memory now, and both are with a face he has never encountered until now.

They’ve left, marking their presence not to be forgotten and to be constantly remembered.

Not only was Mael chilled to his guts by their threat, they literally showed him how potent they are against him.

Mael stood still conflicted on what his next move should be when his phone started ringing, jerking him out of his thoughts.

He brought the phone to his attention, looking at the screen to see his caller was The Mayor. Recalling how his dinner went with him, he couldn’t help groaning out a sigh.

He answered the call, moving the phone closer to his left ear.
