Chapter 9

Everyone turned their heads to see a man in military uniform walking towards them with a girl clinging tightly by his side.

When they saw her, the parents were first taken aback before one of them asked in fright.

“Is that your daughter? Are these two your children?”

Wade glanced at the boy being bullied.

He had a nose bleed and the corners of his lips had split open. Most importantly, his face was beet red from the constant slaps he had received.

Wade tore his eyes away from him and towards the mothers as he replied, “No.”

Hearing him, they released a breathe they didn’t know they had been holding and quickly waved him aside.

“Then this has nothing to do with you. In fact, aren’t you in the military? The military were put in place to protect citizens of North City.”

“My son and his friends are been attacked by this punk right here. He waved that pipe in their faces. Had they not moved away when they did, he would’ve scratched them!”
