Amayah arrived home to find Owen sitting in a chair, smoking a cigarette, which immediately sparked her anger. 'Did you see my call or not?' she asked, her tone stern. Owen shrugged nonchalantly, which only fueled her frustration.

“I saw the call, what happened?” he asked, seemingly unbothered. Amayah scoffed, her anger boiling over.

“You didn't bother to call me back!” she exclaimed.

Owen ignored her question and asked, “What did Marcus say?” taking a drag on his cigarette.

Amayah let out a bitter laugh, her voice laced with sarcasm. “Did you ever truly love me?” she asked, her eyes blazing with intensity.

Owen stared at her, his expression twisted in disgust. “That’s not the answer to my question,” he growled, his anger rising. But Amayah pressed on, her voice firm.
