When Nozomu and Taisetsuna exited the building, they turned right to go around the building, and Nozomu signalled to Rampage to follow him.
The white Unicorn wondered what he wanted, and trotted to get to him and walked at his side, gathering a lot of attention from all the applicants that were also walking near them.
Taisetsuna looked at the frowning Unicorn and asked, “Nozo, why did you call him? Do you want to ride him? It is just a small walk, you know?”
“Well, the Principal said we could use Magic, but he didn’t say we had to use our Magic, did he? I am just going to ask Rampage to hit the targets.”
When the last group finished, the Principal went to the line and faced the new applicants. “I wish those who failed the best of luck in the coming year. You can still apply to other Academy this year, but not this one. Unless you wish to wait until the end of the afternoon to fight the Dragons, in which case you will receive three points and an automatic entry if you last ten minutes against them.”The Principal looked at the group that was vigorously shaking their heads, and he then continued, “Have a nice day, and may we see you again next year, if you so wish!”He waited a few minutes for the applicants that didn’t hit the targets to leave to the front of the building to make their ride home, and he then continued after counting heads. “Thirty passed this try-out. Not a bad number, after all, but almost ten did not. Let’s go inside for the Potions try-out. Go to the main entrance, while the Teachers and I use the back entrance.”While Nozomu was grabbing the bag that he had put on
The Potions Teacher went to the table where all the Teachers and the Principal were, and he spoke in a low voice, “I don’t even know what to say about this! First, she says she wants to make a High-Grade, then she says it is to be used in case of need because they want to fight the Dragons… If they were other applicants, I would laugh, but we all saw the Unicorns they brought. If they managed to capture and tame them, they might stand a chance against the Dragons. At least the Unicorns will be able to fight the Dragons, making them survive for the ten minutes they need to win the three points. As for defeating them, we all know that is impossible!”The Principal was about to say something, but Ruh de Mills, the History Teacher, spoke first. “Everyone also said that it would be impossible for a Snake-kind to
Teacher Tinch gulped when he saw the yellow glowing Potion inside Taisetsuna’s pot, and he slowly nodded. Before he had time to check the ingredients that were still wet and laying over the stove, she threw them inside the bottom compartment to let the brazing coal eliminate all evidence. She then went to Nozomu’s pot, and cooled it off in an instant, while he was also throwing his used ingredients into the coal, leaving the Potions Teacher almost dying of curiosity. As he approached, Nozomu poured his Potion into the vials, and when he handed him a small vial full of the Potion, Teacher Tinch almost fainted. “Here’s a gift for you. I think you can sell it and get a nice profit. I have a few other vials for you to judge at the end of this try-out, but this one is all yours.” When the five people that failed exited with a gloom look on their faces, the Principal got up and spoke, “As I said in my initial speech, the next and last try-out will be the capture of a Monster or a Magical Being. Choose your Party, six members maximum. The forest is to the west, after the targets, and the mountains are in the opposite direction. In the forest, there are some Fairies, ‘Scaraar’s, Ants and ‘Ergy’. Fairies are extremely territorial and aggressive, and Ants are always hungry. The ‘Ergy’ are not dangerous alone, but they are never alone. Many people have already died from the encounter with a swarm of ‘Ergy’. ‘Scaraars’ are plain dumb but very difficult to catch because of their absurd speed and their jumps. In the Mountains, there are Orcs, Goblins, Harpies, Lamias, and last week, we saw two Drakes landing, but I am not sure if they are still there.”The Amazing Sidekick Chapter 59 – Heart mess - part 1
Tresuria noticed the sad look on Chujitsuna’s face and said, “This one feels sorry for your pain, but you don’t know this one well enough to see her as a love interest, and perhaps you are mistakenly taking attraction for love.”“Yeah, it could be it. That is why we should start as friends and see what happens. Despite the fact I know for sure I am not mistaken, because what I know about you, I already like, and I bet the more I find out, the more I will like!”Tresuria gulped and faced forward again, trying not to look into those deep brown eyes and hypnotising smile. She focused her attention on Nozomu’s back, concentrating on his movem
When Taisetsuna and the others joined Chujitsuna Hito and Tresuria on the other side of the tree, they all saw Chujitsuna looking up at the mountain and frowning. She elbowed Tresuria and asked, “Do you see anything up there? Because the stench is making my nose want to leave my face!”“Yes, it is indeed strong. Smells like… rotten flesh? Or is it death? But it doesn’t seem to come from up there, or else the smell wouldn’t be here. It is lower, maybe…”Her eyes stopped on two big rocks that were leaning against the mountain. There was a small space between them, near the soil.
Tresuria nodded, and with a slow movement of her hands, the vines opened a passage, and they went to the corridor that led to the big open clearing. She walked carefully to the curve, with Chujitsuna Hito right behind her. With a last glance back to check if the now serious Snake-kind girl had her arrows ready, Tresuria poked her head into the clearing. She carefully aimed her green flower at one Goblin that was on the path on the plateau. The small seed hit him on the leg, and he almost fell. The other Goblins behind him grunted, annoyed by the sudden stop, and while he was rubbing his leg and wondering what that weird pain was, Chujitsuna pointed an arrow at the piece of bloody meat he was carrying over his head.Five arrows hit the meat that f
While everyone was smiling, Nozomu scratched his head. “That will be so tiring… carrying all these bodies? They are not heavy. I guess I can carry two at a time, but they are so many!”Tresuria timidly raised her hand and said, “This one can make the waggons… And… what about if Chuji made the floor slippery, and we threw the Goblins on the floor at each other? We could make a line on the intersections we crossed to get here and slide the Goblins out…”Chuji vigorously nodded. “I can do that easily! Way to go, Tresuria! We can use that with the scales and the claws as well! Let’s carry a few Goblins and each of us stops in an intersection while the others continue to the outside.
