"How much longer do you think you can hide, Percillia?"

Percillia shut her eyes closed for a while. "It means I don't want you to find me, Trick."

Trick stood waiting for her to finish what she was doing, and then all her eyes opened. "What invited you to my abode?"

"Don't I have the right to come here?"

"I no longer owe the king anything, but I've known I'll meet one of you on my doorsteps one day. I warned about that last chance to be used wisely, but instead, Gordon was sent to do the job."

"That was one flaw we'll always regret."

"I'm sure it took some guts to come to me again. I owe you guys nothing."

Trick nodded. "Well, you'll be surprised to know we owe you something. I'm sure your three eyes didn't help you to notice something of yours missing."

"What did you do?" Percillia asked with clenched teeth like she was realizing something.

"I took something important of yours. Your eggs."

Her eyes widened. "No!!"

"You do as I say, or your eggs hatch in my abode."

Zoey kept glancing at Kara as her eyes kept fixed on an old newspaper. She wondered why she was going through it.

Antonio, and Anton Rivera. Grandpa, and Grandson. Suicide taken up a notch.

She couldn't even settle to wrap her head around the fact that she saw dead people in her dream. In a place called the other side. A complete replica of the real world.

Death with resentment, wanting desperately for revenge. Thoughts that couldn't let them pass over to judgment.

She's heard something like that. That theory. From her professor, but because she wasn't seriously listening, she shrugged it off.

She sighed knowing she's gonna have to meet him. She needs to know more about this.....greatest unknown that seemed to have chosen her for something she can't yet comprehend.

And maybe there's a reason for that visit to the other side, and a reason why she met the Riveras. Maybe she was chosen to avenge them, so they can be free.

Maybe...

"I got facial recognition, Kara," Zoey informed.

Kara looked at her screen, and at the face. "Renard Harswell."

"Looking at his data, he seemed to be more than close to Julius, only he was a programmer at PriceTech, and was equally fired. He's also a bricklayer at MyersCorp."

Kara nodded seeing the information. "There's a third person, Zoey. Someone who made them commit those sins, and got them that job in MyersCorp. Someone bigger than them."

"Could that someone be the main boss, Leopard?"

Kara shook her head. "Or could that Leopard also be working for someone else? A guy as rich as Philip Stark?"

Zoey blinked. "Uh, are you sure we want to drive down that path?"

Kara looked at her. "Why? You want to cringe, and drive away when we're getting to the destination?"

"Philip Stark is a wealthy man, Kara. He has the law wrapped around his fingers."

"You said there are rogues in every profession, but you should know that where there is wrong, there's also right. So, they're people out there who'll fight for what is right."

Zoey nodded. "You're right."

"Very sooner, we'll have to get ready. We'll have to show the world exactly what The Hook is about. And equally, find out exactly what Julius and Renard were working on that lost them their jobs."

"I'm guessing going to the club won't end the investigation."

Kara chuckled. "Believe me, Zoey, I think the club could just be the start of it. It depends how things end."

"I hope it works out in our favor."

Kara nodded. "It should."

He dropped his glass of whiskey on his table in anger, as he kept having thoughts of what to do next.

How could he just let her slip from his fingers? How could he make that mistake? How could he?

"Are you gonna keep beating yourself over that girl, Ace?"

Ace turned to look at his father drunkenly. "I just love her, dad."

"Then why make the mistake, son? Just get over it. There are thousands of women out there."

Ace scoffed. "Yeah. I'm guessing out there, I'm not your only son."

"You're wrong. You are my only child."

Ace nodded. "Whatever."

"We've got work to take care of, Ace."

Ace furrowed his brows at his father. "Work? I thought we no longer work with the same ideas, dad."

"I need something handled, and I want you to help me with it."

"And what do I get from it?"

"A stay in Capital city, son."

Ace's face loosened up. "What do you want to be handled?"

"I want you to meet up with Hunter Stark. To help me strike a deal with StarkCorp."
