Chapter 13

Kara got home very late and entered her house. She met her mom, and siblings worried. They were obviously wondering when she was gonna get home.

"Mom, do you think she's involved with that club?" Ellie asked.

Nora shook her head. "I'm not sure. Your sister won't involve herself in such. Besides, I didn't see her, or any of her friends."

They all nodded still waiting.

Nora sighed broodingly, remembering what she did. She was even lucky she was the one that caught Layla, and Zoey's phone on the ground. It was wrong of her, but somehow she knew Kara was involved. The problem is where she's at because she was the one who called 911.

Kara silently walked up the stairs not knowing what else to do to ease them.

She shook her head and walked back down. It's best to start really thinking about how to become visible again.

How did it happen? How did it happen? There should be a way to reverse it.

She stood still for a while in deep thought, and after a few seconds, something clicked.

"I wished it?" She pondered with a frown.

She sighed. 'If I can wish it, then I can unwish it.' She thought and walked totally out of the house undetectable.

She took deep breaths. "I wish to be visible."

She darted her eyes left and right wondering if it happened. "Did it? There's only one way to find out."

She knocked.

"Could that be her?" Sofia immediately asked.

Jonah shook her head. "No. If it was her, she wouldn't have knocked."

"Well, let me go check to see who's knocking by this time."

"No, Ellie." Nora stopped her making Ellie look at her with furrowed brows. "It's risky. Let me go instead."

Ellie nodded, and Nora walked towards the door. She slightly opened it, and her eyes widened at the sight.

It was enough for Kara to know she was no longer invisible, so she gave her a huge smile on her face, causing Nora to open the door widely for her to enter.

"Kara, where have you been?"

"Kara!" Sofia ran hugging her. "We were worried."

Kara pulled out of the hug. "I'm here now."

"Well, we assured mom you were safe somewhere." Jonah made known.

Kara turned to look at Nora with a slight pout on her face.

Nora just shook her head. "Tomorrow you'll explain this." Then she walked out.

"Mom is sad," Ellie stated the obvious.

Kara nodded sadly. "Yeah."

"What happened?" Sofia asked.

"Something kinda bad. Where we were invited to wasn't a legit place. I regret." Kara told them.

Ellie nodded. "Well, I guess mommy will understand."

"I was even the one who called the police." She informed them.

"Oh. I'm sure mommy figured but didn't tell." Jonah stated.

"Well, tomorrow I'll talk to her. Let's go sleep, I'm tired."

They all nodded.

***********

"What the hell happened, Leopard?" Mr. Stark asked between clenched teeth in obvious anger, on the phone.

Leopard shook his head as he paced about in his apartment. "Don't know, Mr. Stark. I can't even begin to explain."

"Is it safe?" Mr. Stark asked.

Leopard nodded. "Luckily, it wasn't there."

"We need a better engineer, Leopard. Not that clumsy one. And make sure you find him because if not for him, my machine would have been perfected."

"I get it. I'll do as you say, but please...."

"I know what you're about to say. I'll find a new place for you. You're lucky you're still under the radar."

Leopard nodded, and Mr. Stark hung up still angry at everything that happened. It shouldn't have.

Hunter looked away and walked out wondering what exactly his dad is up to.

It was unfortunate his meeting went wrong, but he knows it's definitely not the end.
