Ray was shoved into a cage beneath the arena. His cellmate, a blue-skinned humanoid with glowing yellow eyes, hissed at him.
"You’re not from around here," the alien said.
"No," Ray replied, catching his breath. "Where are we?"
"This is Vorrak. The Wasted Planet. A refuge for those who have nowhere else to go. And you’re about to become entertainment for the savages above." The blue alien said.
Ray’s heart Started beating fast with fear, he has never been outside of the Earth, until a lttle more than a day before, he had no idea that aliens even existed.
Now he is on an alien planet, a savage and brutal one with a gravity that is making his body ache unstoppably.
"I have to get out of here." He murmured under his heavy breath.
The reptilian chuckled. "No one escapes Vorrak. You survive the arena, or you die."
With labored breaths, Ray fell unconscious from the gravity, his muscles twitching unstoppably.
The next day, Ray was dragged into the arena half asleep. The crowd roared as he was thrown into the pit.
His opponent was a hulking creature with razor-sharp claws and a serpentine tail, a beast that was bred for slaughter.
It had been a while since the arena had seen a human. So they pitched Ray against the strongest beast they have.
The beast charged, and Ray barely dodged, his movements sluggish under the planet’s gravity.
Ray gritted his teeth. "Come on, I need more than that!" he shouted.
He grabbed a broken piece of metal from the arena floor and hurled it at the beast’s face with all of his strength. The makeshift weapon struck the beat’s eye, causing it to recoil in pain.
The crowd roared with approval and Leon realized that his strength has dramatically increased.
The system’s voice finally returned since his arrival at Vorrak.
Congratulations, you have adapted to the higher gravity of the planet.
You have utilized 3 out of four points for adaptation
You have grown five times stronger.
Your muscles and bones have gained five times more weight, tensile strength and density.
Seizing the opportunity, Ray lunged forward, driving the shard deeper into the beast’s eye with a strong punch. The creature collapsed with a deafening thud.
Ray stood over the fallen beast, panting heavily. His muscles ached, but he felt stronger—more capable.
A system window appeared.
You have defeated a Titanovak, the system has awarded five Solonite tokens to you.
The arena gates opened, and the aliens dragged Ray back to his cage. The reptilian cellmate nodded in approval.
"Impressive. You might survive longer than I thought." He commented, but Ray ignored him.
That night, Ray sat in the dark, contemplating his next move.
"System, what is this place? Why did you bring me here?"
The system’s voice was calm and analytical.
When you agreed to evolve and become strong enough to fight against the Morphidons that are invading your planet, you actually accepted the terms and conditions of my designers for your evolutionary trails.
My data library is connected to a dimensional drive that contains information of thousands of galaxies, it will crossmatch and randomly throw you into dimensions and places that will force your body to evolve.
Your ultimate goal is to become the apex predator in the entire universe.
Ray sighed. "this is all very confusing, I need to get out of here first. How do we escape?"
The system paused.
"Yes. I your work on this arena is done, you are strong enough to break through the energy restrains on your arms and legs"
With that, he sat up, making sure that his blue alien cellmate was sleeping.
With a single try, he broke the energy restrains on his arms and legs.
The system guided him through a series of mental exercises to enhance his strength and agility. Hours passed, and Ray felt his body adapting to the planet’s harsh conditions.
The next day, during a chaotic beast fight in the arena with the bluish humanoid alien who was his cellmate, Ray made his move. As the crowd’s attention was focused on the carnage in the arena pit, he slipped out of his cage and navigated the labyrinthine corridors beneath the arena.
Several guards spotted him, but Ray dispatched them with swift, calculated strikes. His instincts sharpened, and the system provided real-time combat analysis.
Finally, Ray emerged into the open desert, the alien city behind him. He took a deep breath of the harsh air, savoring his newfound freedom.
"I’m not just surviving anymore," he muttered. "I’m evolving."
As Ray ventured into the unknown, the stars above seemed to shimmer with promise and danger. His path was uncertain, but one thing was clear—he would rise above his enemies, no matter the cost.
After walking for five days straight through the desert, trusting the system’s navigation and feeding on small animals he could find at night, he finally arrived at what looked like the edge of the planet, with a massive forest stretching endlessly into the distance as far as his eyes could see.
