“Yes…Aadam. Deeper, fuck me..oh yes”

“Please..please….daddy, fuck me harder!”

Her moans were getting louder and Jeffery found himself frozen, unable to process the sight of the man pounding into his wife relentlessly.

“Yes, moan for me, you slut. That's it.”

This couldn't be real; he was in a nightmare. There was no way that his wife would moan under another man's touch. Not just any man, a man who had the audacity to degrade her to a mere slut.

His grip on the cake box tightened and his face turned pale. He wanted to barge into that room and confront them, but he couldn't bring himself to do that.

He had married into Cora's family 5 years ago and he owned a clinic.

He loved his wife so much and the thought that she would betray him never crossed his mind.

Until today.

Her moans reached a crescendo, and then, he turned, forcing himself away from the room. His mind was made up with the next course of action.

There wasn't much good in exposing this affair, and he doubted that Cora would change her mind.

As much as it pained him, their marriage had come to an end, and the only thing left was to gather the last bit of dignity he had and get a divorce.

He had to accept this reality

Just as he was about to step out of the house, the man's satisfied voice drifted out from the bedroom which made him halt his steps.

“So..” the man, whose name was Aadam sneered. “Tell me, Cora…how does your husband even compare to this?”

Jeffrey's fists tightened as he swore under his breath, walking back to the bedroom door to listen in on the conversation.

“He could never.” She whispered. “You’re everything. You're a true man, he could never make me as satisfied as you make me.”

“Bitch.” Jeffery cursed, gripping the door frame until his knuckles were white.

“Of course not.” Aadam chuckled smugly. “I’ve got status, baby, I’ve got wealth. People respect me. Men want to be me; women… well, you know ... .they want to be with me. I didn’t get to where I am by playing it safe like your little husband.”

“I know,” Cora giggled. ““That’s why… that’s why I want to be with you. You’re powerful. You’re not some dead-end loser like Jeffery.”

“Then let’s do it, baby,” Aadam purred. “You get that divorce, and we’ll start a real life together. None of this settling nonsense. Just me and you.”

Cora’s voice trembled with excitement. “I will, Aadam. I love you.”

Jeffery was stunned. She was already planning to leave him? Anger flared, but something held him back. He needed to hear just how deep Cora's betrayal went.

“Oh, Aadam,” Cora purred, “I’ve wanted out for so long. I mean, he’s such a pathetic man—no real backbone, no ambition. How can you respect a man like that?”

Aadam laughed in jest, “It must’ve been miserable ,Married to a nobody.”

“You don’t even know half of it. Do you know his mother?” She scoffed. “That woman was a total whore. Went through men like drinks at a bar. And Jeffrey? Well, he never even knew his father. Maybe he didn’t want to stick around for that mess.”

Aadam snickered. “A fatherless little wretch. That explains so much.”

“Yes!” she continued, sneering “I mean, really, what could I ever expect from a guy like that? He’s been a deadweight in my life for years. I thought he’d be different, that maybe he’d grow up and be a man. But look at him—stuck in that miserable job, never getting anywhere. I deserve so much better.”

Jeffrey was in pure disbelief. How could she talk about him and his mother like this?

“Of course you do, babe. And with me, you’ll have it all. No more ‘loser husband’ dragging you down. Just think—everything you deserve.”

“I’ve waited so long for a man like you, Aadam. Someone with power and class. I’m done pretending with Jeffrey. I want a real life with you.” Cora’s voice turned softer. “How’s my promotion going though babe?”

“Don't worry about it, I am the heir to the Whitmore industries and my father would definitely listen to me. You just need to belong to me, and I would give you the world.”

Jeffery's eyes widened as he realized who this man was.

Aadam Luke. The notorious playboy extraordinaire who had a bad reputation for seducing his father's female employees, chasing women and even forcing his girlfriends to have abortions.

Simply put, Aadam Luke was a despicable man.

To think he was his wife's boss and she had hooked up with him just for the sake of a promotion.

Aadam chuckled darkly, “Divorce him, sweetheart. Get rid of him, and I’ll be waiting. No more hiding, no more sneaking around. You and I, together.”

“Of course, babe. I’ve had enough of that fatherless loser. His mother didn’t set much of an example either. She was nothing but a cheap, desperate woman. Guess it runs in the family.”

They both burst into laughter.

Jeffrey’s hand clenched into a fist. She didn't just insult him, but now, she joined the man to openly mock his mother, reducing her to a punchline?

“Enough” he muttered and then, he moved.

Without thinking, he stormed forward.

“You think I'm nothing!” he shouted as he threw the cake in his hands, kicking the door open, the frame slamming against the wall.

“You think I'm nothing? After everything we’ve been through, Cora?” Jeffrey said furiously as he barged into the room.“Jeffrey, what the hell—” Cora shrieked, clutching the quilt to her chest to cover her naked body.“Don’t. No need for dramatics.”“You shut your damn mouth!” Jeffrey snapped. “This is between me and my wife.”“Wife?” Cora’s expression turned cold. “Don’t act like I owe you anything, Jeffrey. Look at yourself! You’re pathetic—a dead-end clinic dragging me down.”Jeffrey’s chest heaved. He had expected her to show some remorse, but this? “Dragging you down? I gave you everything! Love, loyalty—”“Loyalty?” Cora interrupted with a bitter laugh. “What good is loyalty when you’re a failure? Do you think that pays the bills? Gets us anywhere? You’ve been holding me back for years!”Aadam chuckled, throwing an arm around Cor
