Seamus, sipping his tea thoughtfully: "Shannon, there's something we'd like to discuss with you."

Maureen, nodding in agreement: "Yes, dear. It's about your relationship with Dax."

Shannon, a little nervous but trying to stay composed: "What about it, Mom, Dad?"

Seamus, choosing his words carefully: "We've noticed that you and Dax are quite close, and we can see that he's a good man. But, darling, we have certain expectations for your future."

Maureen, gently taking Shannon's hand: "You know, Shannon, our family has always been deeply rooted in tradition. We've hoped that you'd find someone who shares our values and our heritage."

Shannon, a hint of concern in her voice: "I understand that, Mom and Dad, but I care about Dax a lot. He may not be Irish, but he's shown a lot of respect for our culture and traditions."
