Late Arrival

Talon jolted awake, realizing he had overslept. The sun was already high in the sky, and he panicked.

"Oh crap! I'm so late. Gwen is going to kill me," he muttered, scrambling out of bed.

"I gotta hurry and freshen up," Talon said, hastily throwing on his clothes, still in his underwear.

"First things, where the heck is the venue?" Talon racked his brain, trying to remember if Gwen had mentioned it, but his memory failed him. "I'll just check out the suits she got me," he decided, plopping down and accessing his virtual closet, a place where no one had ever bothered to get him anything before.

As he examined the clothes, he couldn't believe his eyes. "50,000 Star Credits... Seriously!" Talon exclaimed, counting the price tags. "1... 2... 5," he counted, shocked by the extravagant expense. "She really went all out for me. She actually cares," Talon realized, feeling a wave of guilt for even considering breaking his promise.
