The Awesome Comeback Of The Lost Prince

A New Identity Discovery

Detached from the normal physical world, Nathan found himself in a strange environment. The place was a flat mountain surrounded by clouds. What was magnificent about the new place was that the mountain didn't touch the ground surface, nor was it in the sky. It was placed in-between the earth and heaven.

Initially, Nathan was feeling lost and disoriented, “ Where is this strange place? Why am I here? What brought me to this place?”. These were all the unanswered questions going through his mind. 

He shouted on top of his voice, “ Hello! Hello!, Who is here please?”When he didn't get any response, a great fear consumed him. He started walking around the mountain randomly. 

“ Am I dead? Oh no! I can't be dead. I promised mom to be a great man, so it's not possible for me to be dead now” he lamented.

He was still lost in thought and confusion, when the cloud opened and a deep raging fire emerged from it. The fire was moving towards his direction with a force, that was when Nathan sensed he was in trouble.

He started moving backwards, without taking his eyes off the fire. He walked backward until he reached the edge of the mountain and a hollow cliff was beneath it.

Nathan blocked the fire with his two hands crossed, then a man revealed himself. This man looked old for a second, but in another second, he would change to a young man. This switching confused Nathan, but he had no choice but to watch his display. 

With a rage in his eyes and his loose long hair dangling around his body, the man spoke in a dangerous but warning tone.

“ One more step backward, you will be gone forever. I don't care if you fall anyway, this has been my long time dream. I want to see you dead and your kingdom will vanish from the surface of the earth” the man uttered bitterly.

Nathan was more confused about his statement, “ Who are you? And why did you bring me here?” He questioned

With a deep roaring voice, “ I am your doom and I'm here to stop you from accomplishing your mission”

As he roared, he pointed his fingers at Nathan. Nathan surprisingly was being lifted up and he dropped him on the floor like a useless object 

Nathan groaned as he fell and he felt pain all over his body. He struggled to stand from his position, but it was difficult.

“ Hmm, what have you done to me? Why am I unable to move my body?” Nathan asked

“ That's where you belong. You belong to the ground and you will never be useful in life. I will crush, strangle you and disfigure your image that none of your family will ever recognise you. You are meant to be trampled upon, Nathan!” The man’s voice roared in his ears.

“ That can only happen if you allow him!” A woman emerged from another part of the cloud.

Nathan turned his head, and he was welcomed with a beautiful, slender and sexy woman with a brilliant and wonderful figure.

The woman's voice took him away from his trance, “ You will be trampled upon, only if you allow it. You have the natural power bestowed to you by heaven. All you need is to harness the power to fight, rise, succeed and fulfill the promise you made to your mother. Rise and fight, Nathan. You are destined to be a great warlock and a king! Rise!” The woman shouted.

Nathan attempted to stand up again, but he failed, “ I can't! I'm a weakling and I'm not strong enough to fight, I believe I am cursed” he responded

“ Of course you are cursed and you will never be able to attain greatness” The man roared again.

“ Don't listen to him. You aren't a weakling, Nathan. Have you forgotten all Martha taught you when she was alive? Why did you stop practicing? Do you want her death to be in vain?” The woman also roared 

“ Then how will I defend myself when my bone is crushed? I'm helpless” Nathan stated his frustration.

“ No, you are not helpless. The only thing you need to do is to cut off your fears and the weak love within you. Cut off the shackles holding you from being yourself. Let go of people's judgment and cast yourself as a spell. Do it now!” The woman instructed.

As if her word is magic, Nathan breathed heavily with steam exhaling from his nose. A new power surged through his body, then he started lifting his body from the ground.

“ Ha!” He screamed as his bone cracked, and within a minute, he was standing on his feet. He looked at the woman and she nodded at him.

“ That's the spirit, your Highness” She commended.

“ Close your eyes and resuscitate all the knowledge and skills of martial arts in your system. Stretch forth your hands and finish this miscreant before you” She instructed.

Nathan closed his eyes, the knowledge of martial fight came into his brain, then he opened his eyes. He charged at the man with a full force. He focused on his neck and he didn't leave him until he broke his neck.

Nathan jolted up from his sleep. His breathing was uneven and his body was covered with sweat.

“ Was I dreaming?” He said to no one in particular.

He checked his surroundings and he noticed he was on a succulent big-sized king’s bed. The room was big and painted with white color.

“ Where am I? How did I get here?” He murmured

He heard the sound of the key at the door, then a woman entered, followed by ten men dressed in a black uniform suit.

“ You!” Nathan shouted as he pointed at the woman he saw in his dream.

Unfazed by Nathan's surprise, the young lady and the men bowed before him.

“ You are welcome back, your Highness” , they chorused.

In a confused state, Nathan stared at them blankly. When he didn't utter any statement, the lady asked, “ Can we rise, your Highness?”

“ Huh! Please rise! I need to see your face” He shouted.

They lifted their heads after listening to his order. 

“ Who are you? I just saw you in my dream and where am I?” Nathan questioned 

“ That wasn't a dream, your Highness. It was more like a revelation to know your identity. I'm Megan and I'm your guardian angel” the lady bowed slightly as she introduced herself 

“ My identity? A revelation? Don't put me in darkness, please explain to me better. What are you even guarding me against?” He demanded strongly

“ You are the lost prince of the sorcery kingdom. The whole kingdom had been searching for you in the palace since your disappearance with the family heirloom. The family heirloom is the ring on your right finger and it can only be activated when the blood of the true king touches it. We were alerted when the ring got activated and we rushed to the location. We found you beside a trash bin in a pool of blood, that's how you get here. I'm not guarding you against anybody, you have the power to protect yourself. I'm just here to put you through sorcery knowledge” Megan explained.

Nathan went mute for some minutes, then he got up from the bed. He found his wound healed and he felt no pain in his body 

“ Wow, this is amazing. I remembered I was battered by those criminals, why are there no wounds on my body? I feel stronger and I look fresher. What is happening to me?” 

“ You aren't just a prince, you are a warlock. Your body can get healed on its own and you can also heal people with your blood, my Lord” Megan answered.

“ Are you saying I'm a sorcerer? Is that what you mean?” Nathan asked worriedly.

Megan sensed his worry and she smiled.

“ Being gifted with magical powers is not a curse, but it's a blessing. You are gifted with a rare gift, that not even your father possessed my lord.” Megan explained to relieve his worry.

Then he heard something echoing in his ears as he looked at the bodyguards, he pointed at the man in close proximity to him, “ What did you say now? I heard you say I don't know how great I am. What did you mean?” He demanded

The bodyguard, along with his colleagues, was lost, they didn't hear the guy speak. 

Uncertain of how to respond, the guy looked at Megan for help. Megan exclaimed, “ She was right! She told me you can read minds, but I didn't believe her. She was right after all” she wanted to cry, but she sniffed in the tears.

“ Who was right? Stop speaking in parables” Nathan asked 

“ Martha told me you can read minds and she warned you to avoid looking directly into someone's eyes. She didn't want you to get into trouble at a young age” Megan revealed.

Nathan remembered when his mother warned him not to stare directly into people's eyes and he had been following her instructions since then, but he stared at the bodyguard because of how funny he was watching him.

Realization dawned on him, Martha, his mother didn't want him to read people's minds. “ So she knew who I was all these while. Why didn't she tell me then?” He murmured.

“ There is time for everything. You were too young to understand and she was also protecting you from the enemies. You will stay here for now, because there are some people outside there that are after your life. These men and I are here to protect you, you can order us around the way you like. We are at your service, my lord” Megan bowed, followed by the bodyguards.

Nathan sighed heavily, everything still looked strange to him, but he was ready to learn about his real identity. His eyes caught the clock hanging on the wall, then he shouted, “ Damn it, I'm almost late for the final divorce process. I need to get to the court by 2pm guys, and this is 1:30pm” 

He was trying to rush outside, but he was stopped by Megan. 

“ You can't walk alone from now on, your Highness. I will follow you with the bodyguards, but you will have to change your outfit first” she explained.

She pressed a button from the walkie -Talkie in her hand, then some maids rushed in with a neat tailored tuxedo suit with black pants in their hands. They moved closer to Nathan to undress him, but he shifted backward.

“ Wait! I can't allow strange women to touch me. Drop the clothes, I can dress up myself” Nathan complained.

Megan signaled to the maids to leave with the bodyguards. 

Nathan looked at her standing in the room, “ Why are you still here? Do you want to see me undress?” He said, raising one of his eyebrows.

“ Please alert me when you are done dressing. You can press the button beside the bed. The hair stylist will knock at your door in the next ten minutes. Don't worry, the stylist is a man” she smiled, then she vacated the room.

Nathan sighed in relief, then he started undressing hurriedly.

At the court, Felix drove into the parking lot with Andrea in one of his expensive cars. Their entrance baffled most of the onlookers as Andrea stepped down in one of the latest modeled shoes and bags.

“ Isn't that the latest channel design? This is the most expensive bag as at yesterday”

“ This couple is stinkingly rich, and the lady is beautiful”

These are the kinds of remarks wanted by Andrea. She flipped her hair backward in pride, to show how well styled it was. This encornium didn't last long as a fleet of Rolls-Royce boat tail and Rolls-Royce Phantom cars drove into the court's parking lot.

The onlookers attention shifted from Andrea and Felix to the new fleet of cars. 

“ Are there any important guests coming into the court today? These cars are the latest models and they are worth more than hundred million dollars. Which people of affluence are we expecting today” the onlookers whispered.

Felix and Andrea were also marveled at the expensive cars, and they were eager to know the important guests.

The cars’ doors opened, the bodyguards came out, each positioning themselves at each side of the cars. Finally, Megan also came out of the car, and she opened the door to reveal the most handsome man in the city.

“ Nathan!” Andrea yelled.
