CHAPTER 90

After making sure Alaric had crept in, Edwin approached the door. He had barely gotten to the door when the doorbell rang again the third time.

He would not just open up, he paused a bit and then asked. "Who is it?"

When he was getting no answer, he peeped through the peephole and then he found Helen, putting her hands on her waist and changing her stance repeatedly as though she was mad at something.

"Helen?! What is she doing here?" he mumbled to himself after which he opened up.

"Helen! What are you…"

"I came over for something important." She interrupted without allowing him to finish his side of the story first, which allowed him to furrow his brows, but still trying to be the gentleman as much as he could, he asked her.

"Do you mind coming in?"

"There isn't any need to. I don't want to either. But I came over for something important."

"O…"

Another time she was interrupting him. "I saw you at the scene this afternoon, I saw what you did. How you defended the girl."
