The following morning, awoken by an alarm, and the sun escaping through the curtain blinds, Alaric forcefully opened his eyes.

It took him some time to recollect what had happened the previous night and where he was, and then he remembered the last person he had spoken to the previous day was Ariana.

However, turning his head sideways, he caught the beautiful woman he had married years back, lying close to him and peacefully snoring.

Immediately he planted a kiss on her forehead, but she awoke.

"Rushing somewhere?" she said leaning on her chin.

"You are his assistant right? You should be going with him."
