Chapter Sixteen

At the headquarters of Rovers Group, workers gathered in groups to discuss the news flying on the internet. Then, Victor came in. He was just resuming work for the day.

“What! What are you all looking at? What’s funny?”

A pang of guilt pricked Victor as he walked to his office, closely followed by Sabrina, who held his briefcase. He could feel numerous eyes on him – some filled with pity, others with accusation, and a few mocking his predicament. The humiliating news of him being thrown out of Rovers Royale was circulating on the internet, and he was determined to retaliate.

If that gardener had not come around, everything would have been averted. He blamed the gardener for being the root cause of this humiliation he was facing. He must make him regret his actions! Soon!
