198. Altercation

Detective Jones sat in his small- scaled living room. He had just one two seater sofa and a little round table in the center of the room.

He was still a bachelor and his pay wasn't exactly extravagant so his properties were modest in size, he rarely had any guests and he didn't have any family that paid him a visit so it was always just him.

He had a cup of coffee in his hands but he couldn't drink it anymore because it had gone cold. That would make it the third cup that had gone to waste. He stared distastefully at the liquid before dropping it with the other two mugs that laid side by side on the table.

He was too bothered to drink coffee… and that rarely ever happened.

He had always taken his job seriously and being the kind of police man that he was, he never cared about the risks or dangers that came with it, he was always diligent with his work and it usually paid off.
