208. Problem

"I'm waiting." Ivy demanded, her patience was wearing thin and she couldn't hide it much longer. Her parents had summoned her and Lucas over to their place for a supposed urgent meeting and they had been there for close to thirty minutes, and still haven't heard anything.

"Ivy, can't you see that your mother is in pain here?" Her father asked, looking concerned.

"I'm sorry if I didn't notice, it's just that I have some really important matters I need to attend to as well."

"More important than your own brother? Or have you forgotten that he's still in the custody of Marco Platana?"

"No father, I haven't forgotten. In fact, Lucas and I are working on a way to get him out of there… wherever he is." That part was a lie. Sure, she didn't forget that Marco had kidnapped her brother but she was too busy worrying about Lucas to think about anything else. Besides, she couldn't do what her mother was asking her to.
