42. The Jade.

Lucas stood in his office, looking out the large window. It was a beautiful day, partly cloudy bland partly sunny. Like those days that were perfect for a picnic or to go for a drive. He wasn't enjoying the scenery though, he couldn't even see anything other than the reflection of his frowning face on the glass. His mind was clogged with different thoughts. He glanced at his watch, checking the time before he resumed his pointless staring like he had been doing for the past thirty minutes.

He needed to get that necklace back, it seemed so unfair to his mother that Blanche was wearing something that held such meaning.

"Sir?" Lucas flinched as someone tapped his shoulder. "I knocked." He said as Lucas turned to him, still wearing a frown.

"Its alright, I just didn't hear you come in."

"Is something on your mind?"

"Its nothing I can't take care of. Is something up?" He gestured at the little envelope Mike had in his hands.

"Oh no, it's not work related." He handed Lucas the envelope and
