Chapter 33
One of the police officers frowned. He couldn't sit back and watch them do something that was against protocol. He understood her reason for wanting to leave, but there were instructions that they needed to follow.

"I'm sorry, but I cannot let you go just like that," he summoned up the courage to say.

Wesley turned around, with an air of authority and malice. He frowned, looking at the officer like he was above the law and the officer was nothing but a mere pebble.

"What did you just say?" he asked.

The officer swallowed; he recognized the frost that just took over his expression but he needed to voice out what was needed:

"If she doesn't want the paramedics to carry out a proper checkup, then she has to go to the hospital."

"But I don't," Wynn's small voice came in as she leaned closer to Wesley.
