Fabio was loudly slurping from the Chinese takeouts he ordered. He had spent the whole day in his car and although it wasn't dark out yet, he didn't plan to leave. His car was still parked across the street in front of Juan's company. There was a camera sitting on the passenger seat along with the other wraps of takeouts he had ordered. There was also a pair of binoculars sitting there. Though he was eating, his head was turned towards Juan's company as he watched every single person go in and out. Every face that showed up at that company held a place in his camera, but he continued to watch for any new faces. Like Ramos. When Ramos showed up, he made sure that he got the face captured, though it was a hard fit, seeng that the vehicle Ramos had drove there in was a very suspecting van which had been taller than him. Fabio wasn't really pleased with the pictures he took, but he planned on taking more. Luckily for him, the second Ramos had alighted from the van, it sped off.
Juan paced around his office over and over again. He couldn't stop thinking about what Ramos said. He was greatly unsettled, there were a lot of things that could go wrong. For one, he was told of that detective who arrested his father, detective Fabio, was it? The man was on his tail, said to be good at what he does. Said to be the best in his department and knows exactly how to do his job. If it wss before, he wouldn't hsve had anything to worry about, but now, he did. He had a lot to worry about seeing as now he was guilty of what he was accused of. It was quite funny, yesterday he was innocent and today he has become guilty. He wondered what his father woukd think about it. But wasn't it all for a good cause? No. Of course his father wouldn't buy into that. He had a reputation of being a honest business man, but surely there was no way that even the biggest company did not have some ties to the illegal world. It was impossible. He had so much to lose if he refused to do
Though Fabio was already driving away, Kraig still stood there just watching. He was thinking about what Fabio had just said. To be precise, the question he had been asked: why was he doing this? He felt that if he didnt guve Fabio an answer soon, he might ask again. And then aks again and ask maybe for the last tine before he cuts whatever deal they had made. He was a cop afterall, finding out about the things Kraig himself would dind out was a very small thing you do. So why was he doing this? He couldn't lie, from how his heart turned when he saw Wynn in that car with Juan, he knew this need was birthed from jealousy. And also, one xan throw in the fact that Juan had never been particularly nice to him. He always tries to make fun of him, to degrade him. To ridicule him, make him look so fucking small. And then, aren't business owners supposed t terminate their competition? That was no doubt what he was turning out to be: his competition. And if he were to find out anything
After cominh back from the hospital, Carolene's very rare face was finally seen during breakfast, jade couldn't stop herself from sneaking glances at her. It amused her seeing that she could still hold her head high when she knew for a certain that she was not getting married to Kraig. It was a very shameless act to Jade. "So, now that's they're not getting married, whats the need to stay in the house?" Carolene froze. She had been bringing a spoon full of oatmeal to hr mouth, but hearing from jade made her pause. She dropped her spoon and stared deadly into jade's eyes. "She's still pregnant with my baby, jsnt that reason enough for her to stay here?" Kraig asked, obviously displeased about what jade had said. "And moreover, the person that doesn't have a reason staying here is you. Your husband is dead now, isn't jt your cue yet?" Kyle shot at her, "and isn't your house ready yet?" This was not how jade had rhought thw conversation would turn. She felt attacked with those wor
Kraig leans into the leather seat of his car bringing about a sound of contact. He was holding a large unopened envelope, the sunlight poured into hjs car, shedding light precisely only on the envelope, as if knowing that at the moment, it was the most important thing. He frowned at how bright the sun was and how he was expected to open this file when hjs family was complete. It contained the DNA test results. This woukd be able to tell him if Wesley that died had been his real family or not. He was fucking curios, even running out of the office when he got the call, disregarding the meeting he had with his staff. He sighed out loudly before looking around the parking lot, he only browsed with his eyes before he drove away. Straight to his house. He informed them when he received a call from the hospital snd also did the same thing when the envelope was in his hands. As he drove through the gate, all he exoected to see was his grandfather, the second Wesley and maybe Jade. It
Daniel and Christian had been invited to the DeVille's house for breakfast. They had been quite surprised when the invite came to them through a message from Fabio. Daniel was very reluctant, having intimate relationships with a family under investigation was a no go for him. He didn't want to be clouded by his emotions other than logical facts. And damn, that family was filled with good looking people. From the women and even to the men. And his very bisexual self cannot deal with such. Maybe that was the real reason he was avoiding that family. On the other hand, his partner and best friends were stoked to be invited to breakfast. They were anticipating the whole deal and even got themselves nice outfits for the very simple occasion. Daniel felt they were obviously doing too much. "Why do you think the suddenly invited us?" Daniel asked from the driver's seat as he started the car. Christian was beside him on the passenger seat and Fabio was at the backseat. They were glued
After texting Kraig all night and the first thing in the morning, Wynn had felt the pressing feeling of fatigue. She was unable to get up from her bed to perform simple tasks, and neither could she even attempt to indulge in the daily necessities, like taking a bath and brushing her teeth. A knock came from her door. "Come in!" She yelled from her bed. The door opened slowly as if the person turning the doorknob was unsure or terrified. It amused Wynn, for a moment she hoped the person was Kraig. But then Leah appeared. Her smile dropped. However, Leah's smile arose, quite widely at that. Not only was she smiling, she also giggled, "hi, I'm so sorry". As she walked to the bed, she was accompanied by the pungent smell of alcohol. Wynn scrunched her nose and looked away. This explained a lot. Wynn sat up on her bed, resting against the headboard as she watched her step sister walk to the edge on her bed in very confusing steps. Wynn's eyes did not leave her even for a split s
Kraig kept his eyes pinned on Daniel as he waited for his question to be replied. He had guessed that Wesley was not the real Damont because he jad lived with Wesley, he had seen for himself hkw troubled Wesley was. However, this detective who only knew Wesley's corpse had been abke to guess that kt wasn't the reak Wesley. Indeed, Kraig's interest was piqued. However, the man he asked a question djdnt seem like he was able tk give an answer. Kraig had noticed the look of concern his friends had been throwing to him whixh made hkm wonder if the man was sick some where. In actuality, this was the first time his focus was oinned on Daniel. Rhe people he had his foxus on before were Christian and Fabio. He liked how comely christian seemed. He liked the calmness in him and how he seemed like the one who was abke to clam a storm. As for Fabio, it was mainly because he had been there when Wesley died and as such, Kraig fekt a weird familiarity to him. But Daniel was different. He w
