Shared happiness

As he was about to take his lips closer, Nathaniel mischievously grabbed a handful of popcorn and forcefully stuffed it into his mouth. The unexpected act caught him off guard, leaving him momentarily surprised and somewhat embarrassed. He sheepishly ate the popcorn, trying to shake off his sudden loss of composure.

"How do you feel? Do you still think I'm a baby?" she asked, hoping to lighten the mood. However, he remained silent, his face reflecting disapproval for her playful reaction.

"It's not funny. Just let me be," he let out, his voice firm and tinged with annoyance. In that moment, his anger was evident, and she realized she had crossed a line.

"Sweetheart, is there something wrong?" she asked, genuine concern etched on her face.

"I am angry, and I don't think there's anything that can resolve that. It's unfair that you forced popcorn into my mouth," he stated with a pout, his frustration evident.
