Terrible person

"Dad, you are here?" I replied with a hint of amusement in my voice, trying to contain my surprise. He stood in the doorway, a warm smile on his face.

"Yes, am I not welcome here again since we now have a new chairman?" he said jokingly, his tone light and playful. I couldn't help but scoff at his remark, happy to see him.

"Not really, just that I was surprised by the impromptu visit," I said, gesturing for him to come inside. With a nod, he walked in and took a seat.

"Well, I came to have a look at how the company has been functioning," my dad said, his voice carrying a curious undertone. His eyes surveyed the office, taking in the bustling energy and the signs of productivity. "I wanted to see what my children were up to, and I must say I'm impressed." There was a subtle sense of pride in his words, hinting at his satisfaction with our work. "But that doesn't mean I am going to forget about that," he continued, his tone growing slightly more serious.
