"Nothing," he said, his voice laced with caution. "You shouldn't just go out with her. I don't want you to have a bad record in the company." His words were filled with concern, trying to protect his friend from any consequences. However, I couldn't help but chuckle softly at his assumption.

"Did you even think I am trying to date her?" I asked, amusement evident in my voice. "No, I'm not trying to date her. I can't possibly embarrass her among the other workers. I'll inform her later that I won't be going with her. Besides, I barely have time for love in my life right now."

I replied to Mike, "I'm sure no girl wanted me when I was looking tattered and ugly, but now that I'm looking presentable, a girl is asking me out." Despite my sarcastic remark, a scoff threatened to escape my lips, showing my disbelief at what happened.
