Seeing Gaberial's expression glazed due to confusion, the old man instantly ordered all the men to leave them alone.
Getting his words, all of them bow to him, and then Gaberial last time, before walking out of their way to leave.
Gaberial looked at their backs in a mixed manner, confused but curious to know why their behaviour suddenly turned from bully to gentleman. However, before he could go into depth of thought, he heard a gentle voice from the old man behind him, "Young Master."
He turned and stared at the old man with a puzzled look. This is the third time he heard this 'Young Master'.
The old man walks down towards him with a tender smile, and he notices his moist eyes as well.
His emotional reaction and tone made him feel quizzical at this moment.
He wanted to ask a few things and waited for the old man to get closer as he walked with a wooden stick before finally opening his mouth.
"I'm sorry, young master, for their rude behaviour." Seeing the old man apologised, he felt discomfort and instantly raised his all concerts related to their behaviour and action towards him, "Sir, you don't look like a kidnapper to me? So, why do your people take me here? And why were you all calling me a 'Young Master'?"
The old man lightly smiled at his question and answered briefly, "Because you are our Young Master. The one whom we lost many years ago and finally found today. Those men get you here in my order."
"What are you talking about? I don't get it." His eyes fixed on him as he added, "I'm sorry, Sir, but I guess your men made a mistake with me as someone else and got me here. I'm not your lost young Master."
However, the old man shook his head in denial, "Young Master, they got the right one. You are our true young Master, the lost one. If we can have a little conversation, I can help you to explain that."
"Sir, I don't have time to listen to you, and this is the most disrespected and terrifying way to get a man to take your house just to talk and explain how he is your lost young master." He could not help but show anger once he realised he was dragged just because they thought he was some young master.
"I can understand; you can not trust me. But please give me a chance to explain. I request." The old man looked at him pleadingly and instantly bowed to him the next moment, "And I'm sorry, young Master. For them to treat you rudely and make you sacred. This is my fault. I got excited and asked them to bring you home once I finally got your resident address."
"Sir, I'm not your young master or whatever you think."
"Young Master, if you give me a chance, I can explain everything. All I need is your little time. I request you. Please listen to this old man. I was waiting for you so many years."
Seeing his pleading eyes, Gaberial felt dejected to reject his request and finally nodded, "Alright. But, if you can't explain rightly. I'll leave." "My wife is waiting for me at our home."
"I know that." The old man calmly nodded, "I'll not let you be late."
"How do you know I'm married?"
"Not only do I know you are married, but I also know what your wife's name and your name are."
The old man's words made him go alert, "Who you are really?"
The old man weakly smiled, "Sir, please don't fear me. I'm not a threat to you. But I'm your ally."
"Ally?" His eyes squinted at this reveal.
"Young Master, I'll give you all the answers, but first, you need to sit and be comfortable to get all the answers."
"Alright." Gaberial sat on the couch, and the old man felt satisfied watching this.
"Young Mater, I'll start my story with my introduction. My name is Carlos, and I'm the butler of your family. I'm serving this family from your father's teenage."
Gaberial calmly listened.
"Now, I'm sharing details about your father's background, who is one of the wealthiest men in the state with the largest empire in the city, Dante Lopez—the marvellous tycoon in the business and corporation world.
"Lopez?" His eyes felt amazed at this discovery, "This is my surname as well."
"Yes, Young Master, because you are his only son means hair of his territory, Gaberial Lopez."
"You are the true heir of The Lopez's Diamond Corporation now. The powerful and influential family. To whom no one can surpass, touch or dare to get their eyes on your father days. "
"And your surname was one of the reasons the way I reached you." Carlos blissfully explained while his eyes looked admired to speak the Lopez strength in the old days.
"Still, it is impossible." His brows deepened, "It's not like I'm the only one with this surname out in the city. And one more thing, how have I never heard about any Lopez diamond corporation-related news in all this past?
"For the surname, yes, you are right. There are many out there with the same surname, which was why I checked all others' details with the same surname before finally reaching out to you. My last hope." Carlos's eyes turned serious in the last comment.
"Once your details came to my sight, I knew I found you." Carlos stared at him with a hopeful vision.
"I don't get it. How are you so sure? Which details made you realise that it's me?" Gaberial could not help but raise a severe look on his face.
"Young Master, To know how I found out that? First, you must learn about your real family and how you lost them." Carlos pointed out and added further, "However, before I spoke about that, I let you know the reason why you can't hear about the Lopez corporation." His voice gets lower, making Gaberial more puzzled, "Actually, The Lopez family came from Los Angeles, and The Lopez Diamon Corporation was also there."
"What do you mean 'Was'? What about now?" Gaberial raised the question to get an answer from Crlos in the next second, "It stopped corporate long ago, and to know the reason now, I'll explain your family history. In which, you get all your questions, answer, additional you will realise why I'm so sure about your identity."
This statement made Gaberial go all froze. Now, he also wanted to discover all the truth. If he was indeed an heir or not, and if he is, then how did he get lost and most importantly, where are his parents now? He wants all these answers.
"The Lopez family is well-reputed around corporate people. Many rich families and companies follow your father as their leader and want to get their hands on his business trades."
"Most importantly, your father was a genius in the business world, and that's why people appreciated him for his work and nature to treat people around him. For our Madam, Marry Lopez, also your mother, was perfect like your father; she is gentle and kind. They were a power couple and growing altogether day by day until…." Carlos gets paused.
"What happened?" Gaberial questioned.
"One day, they had been betrayed by one of their followers who worked under your father. They not only destroyed the happy family overnight, but they also snatched all their fortune legally." The old man's eyes filled with fury as he spoke that.
Hearing the Lopez Family was destroyed by their followers somehow affected Gaberial's side view of all history. He felt connected to the Lopez couple somehow and could not help but ask soon, "What happened, Carlos, to the Lopez couple?"
"For Sir- Madam, they can't save themselves, fell for the trap and lost their everything until they got into a car accident one night."
"What?" He frozen. His eyes reddened with unknown emotion.
"Yes, We had lost them that night." Carlos' eyes filled with sadness.
"After them gone, you are their only blood and son left, the true heir of all business. But you were so young and couldn't understand what was happening around you."
"The betrayal followers take this chance to step up in the world. They took the Lopez couple's only son and heir; who were you!"
"They become a saviour for the Lopez's kid in the world's eyes. They pretended to be good and got all the property in their name from the heir as legal custody." Carlos's words made him realise something, and he boiled with all anger before he asked to confirm his doubt, "Carlos, are those followers who betrayed Lopez, Gil Corporation's owner, Jack Gil?"
Carlos meets his eyes the next moment and nods with a firm look, "Yes, Your in-laws are behind your family's downfall."
Gaberial chest got heavier as he took a breath deeply, thinking about Gil. He couldn't believe he was living with his family's enemy. His eyes filled with hatred; he had never felt so much anger before this.
"Young Master, because of Gil, I can find you. Once I discover they adopted you. I know, you are the one. They were why I needed to stay secret without revealing to anyone that we were finding the real heir."
Gaberial raced his finger over his head as he fled, so much anger bursting inside his heart.
"Carlos, I'll never let them go what they did." He muttered even before he could realise.
Hearing him, he gladly nodded, "Now, as you back, we will sure get our revenge on them."
"But for that, I need to find the way. I don't have anything. They are powerful." Gaberial felt a mess to realise that even knowing the truth, he couldn't do anything right now.
But when Carlos heard him, he instantly smiled, "No, Young Master, you had everything you need. Don't forget you are one of the richest man's sons, who hold the diamond land."
"What do you mean?" Gaberial brows raised in doubt, "Did not Gil take all of my money?"
"Yes, they did." Carlos nodded and soon added, "But it's not all money. It only 1 per cent of your all treasure."
Hearing the butler's words, his eyes were stunned, "What, 1 per cent?"
Carlos smiled, "Yes, Master. It's true. Gil's only had the hand on 1% of your property and wealth. They never knew the real treasure was always safe with me. In all these years, I was the one who was keeping this all safe for you. What they stole is not even an enormous amount in Lopez's eyes. But that time, Gil used some filthy, dirty trick to sell the company's secret materials, making them fall the worst way. After that, your parents' accident made the Lopez turn vanish in the city's eyes."
Gabriel's expression shifted in disbelief to hear that, but he finally managed to thank the butler.
"Thank you, Carlos, for protecting everything till now."
Carlos tenderly smiled and added, "I'm so delighted I can finally find you, Young Master. Now, I wish you to regain your position and relieve your parents' soul."
"Everything around you is your belonging. Please fill the Lopez position again and do the comeback." He bowed lightly.
On the other side, his statement turned to Gaberial silence briefly before he calmly said, "No, Carlos, I can't take Lopez's position right now." He shook his head in denial to astonish Carlos in his spot.
Carlos was never inclined to hear the disclaimer.
"Young Master, But why?" "Please take your birthright, your position as an heir and make a new powerful comeback as Lopez's family blood." "For your enemies to know, now you discovered your true identity, and their fortune comes to an end." Carlos's words made Gaberial gape at him with a deep gaze before explaining his point of view, "Listen, Carlos, I know….You have shown great loyalty to my parents, and you wanted to give me back all this wealth to get yourself feel finally free from this huge responsibility.""If you understand this, why are you rejecting your wealth and position like this? Why don't you want to come back?" Carlos's eyes fixed on his young Master to get his response, "Please answer my question."Gaberial shut his eyes and crossed his fingers to rest his forehead over it for a moment, and after taking a deep breath, he raised his head and met his eyes with the icier look.Carlos can see something changed inside Gaberial at this moment; he looked sharp with his e
"Gaberial, when you back?" Sara turned and was stunned to notice him standing at the balcony door. He saw her surprised expression and felt how lucky he was to have a kind wife like her. He strode towards her and wrapped his arms around her back to give her an intimate hug, "I'm sorry." He sighed deeply. She blinked and stared at him with confusion, "For what are you apologising to me?"He breathed deeply and rested his head on her neck, "I heard everything, Sara. I heard it." "What?" Her eyes enlarged. She nibbled her lips lightly in sadness."I'm sorry, love, you need to go through all those rude words from your family just because of me." Her eyes got tears, "It's not your fault, Gabby." Her hands wrapped around him tightly."Thank you for giving my life's best gift. Thank you for carrying this baby and fighting for it.""Gabby, this is our baby." She frowned."I know, my love." He kissed her neck, released her from his arms to look into her eyes, and smiled warmly, "I promise
"Babe, why you left?" Gaberial stared at Sara, who looked upset."Gabby, What if we lose?" Her lips trembled."Hey…" He held her hand, "We still don't know the result."His eyes looked at her in perseverance, and she could only sigh with a dejected heart, "I'm scared."He understood her struggle and hugged her, "Just be positive. The announcement still needs to be made to know if we won or lost." She shut her eyes and took a deep breath before staring at him and nodding in understanding. They were left with no choice anyway. "Let's go now; we need to see the result announcement." "I want to rest. You go and check." She asserted. He knew he couldn't make her force, so he nodded, "Alright."He returned to the living area alone, and when they watched him coming without their daughter, they smirked with mocked expressions, exchanging glances within them.Soon, the leading news started to show, for which Gil's Family and Gaberial were waiting. "Good Morning, I'm Joye from XX News Netwo
In The Bedroom"Where are you going?" Seeing Gaberial suddenly coming from the living area and getting ready in his office attire made Sara doubtfully stare in his direction with a questioning gaze."I need to go office. I can't miss that." He pushes the tie on the neckline while matching her sight from the mirror reflection. "What?" She frowned, "Then what about here?" Her eyes turned furious as she strode in his direction."I can't handle Mom-Dad alone, and we are still in the middle of chaos. Do you forget that?" She clenched her hands. He calmly turned and held her shoulders, "I know you are scared and need me beside you right now…""Then why?" She removed his hands while looking at him disappointedly, "Why are you prioritising this new job over us and our marriage?" "Sara…" He sighed, shutting his eyes. He wished to tell her the truth but helplessly just let go of that hard eagerness deep inside him.He opened his eyes slowly and firmly said, "This is not true, Love. You know
"You! Son of bitch!" A sharp, crisp slap sound echoed around the kitchen as Gaberial was slapped by his mother-in-law, who is his foster mother as well."What a useless man are you!" She yelled with outrage at him, "Do you know how costly the dinner set you just broke?" With deep anxiety, Gaberial stared at his mother-in-law, Elisa Gil, "I-I'm so sorry. I just….""Oh, shut up! You shit!" Elisa Gil furtively scolded and interrupted his words while he, who was slapped across the face by her, lowered his gaze with embarrassment. He looked at the messing floor, covered with broken plate pieces everywhere. He gazed at them with dread and stressful eyes, ignoring the hurting, burning sensation from his bruised cheek. "You are not good at anything! I don't know what my daughter sees in you!" She gives him a disgusted look. However, Gaberial was used to being humiliated by her, so he still tried to ask for an apology, as it was his fault."I'm sorry, Mother." His breath hitched, "I was j
Gaberial thought to book a cab to return home, but when he checked his wallet, he found he had left a few dollars inside it. If he uses this wallet money to pay for a cab right now. He would be penniless until he got some small job which doesn't need education but physical work, as he would not ask for money from his wife. Sara gave him this money, which is now almost inclined to be empty. He feels embarrassed to take his wife's savings money for his own survival. This disarraying thought made him run his hand around his back neck with anxiety, feeling crushed his spirit.Discerning uselessness and believing his in-law's every word was accurate. He could not help but race his fingers over his hair with a struggling mind.He discerned he had started to lose all his confidence with every single passing day; he couldn't tolerate any longer rejection. With a heavy chest, he eventually muttered, "How long?" "How long do I need to suffer?" "Why was it becoming impossible for me to get
