Chapter Sixty-five

“Really? A cashier in this substandard mall?” Isabella scoffed.

She was surprised that her rival was nothing but a cashier in the mall, spotting her as soon as she entered.

She had thought Emily would hold a high position there, probably a manager.

“I can't just stop getting amazed by every finding." Isabella scoffed as she approached the counter, where Emily looked radiant despite the drab uniform she wore.

With each step closer, resentment surged through her.

She felt the urge to embarrass her at that moment, but she controlled herself not to.

What she had in stock for her, especially, was way beyond the embarrassment that would happen if she decided to create a scene there.

“Excuse me," Isabella drawled, her voice dripping with honeyed sweetness to her own surprise to get Emily's attention as she seemed busy, her face concentrated on the cash register.

The high school plays she participated in were beginning to pay off.
