Chapter Thirty-one

Alex was about to head home when he remembered what Henry said.

Although he still could not admit to himself that he was in love with Emily, he decided to see her.

"It is because of our time together that is making me think I am." He concluded as he dialled her number.

"Yeah?" It was obvious that she was disinterested and annoyed with him.

"Will you be at the bar tonight?" He asked her.

"Yes, what happened?"

"I'll be there soon." He hung up immediately.

He knew that speaking with her on the phone would be a big waste of time, but he needed to make things up with her again.

He scoffed at the thought because they are always having issues, but still, he was drawn to her like a magnet.

"Why am I drawn to her exactly?" He questioned himself.

As a voice in his head told him that it was because he had fallen in love with her, he shunned it.

"It's because I find peace in her company; being with her erases Isabella's troubles from my mind."
