Chapter Twenty-nine

Although Alex had wanted to sleep in the other room, he later ended up sleeping with Isabella over the night because it seemed his little threat had an effect on her.

"Good morning, sir." Derek greeted him as he walked down the stairs.

He ignored his greeting.

He then approached him, seemingly offering to help him with his briefcase. "What would you like for breakfast, sir?"

He chuckled, arching his brows as he stiffened his grip to let him know that he did not need his assistance.

"Okay. Let me get your breakfast then, sir."

"Are you that dumb?! If I wanted to eat breakfast, wouldn't I be heading to the dining area instead of outside? Can't your instincts tell you that?!" He spat out.

"I'm sorry, sir." Derek apologised.

"This should be the last time you'll be offering me any of your meals. You're not my maid, but hers. She employed you, not me. Isn't that right?"
