A deal

Jessica was walking out of the hospital to meet up with Marcus where he was waiting in the car for her and then her phone rang.

She stops in her tracks to see the caller. Her heart raced with excitement as bestie appeared on the screen.

“It is Camelia! Camelia is calling me!” She yelped with excitement and rushed to Marcus's Side of the car.

Marcus got down from the car to hear the phone conversation. He did not seem quite convinced and thought a foul play was probably going on with her abductors.

Jessica took the call and expectantly only to hear a male voice call her name:

“Jessica…”

Her heart sank. The voice was familiar. A few weeks ago, she had heard Camelia having a phone conversation with Mr. Derek and this was the same voice that she heard that day over that conversation.

She felt a pang of fear knock against her chest and she became sweaty and uncomfortable.

Yet, she had to ask for confirmation.
