Commotion
Hannah doesn't need to be told twice. She bolts for the nearest exit, not stopping to look back. The other men are too stunned to react right away, but the leader shakes off the shock and lunges for the gun.

Marcus sees him coming and dives to the side, but the leader is too fast. His hand closes around the gun and he swings it up, aiming it at Marcus's head.

Time seems to slow down as the gun barrel swings towards him. But then, just as the leader's finger begins to tighten on the trigger, a familiar voice rings out from across the mall.

"Freeze!"

The voice is cold and commanding, and the leader's hand falters. He turns, and sees a police officer standing at the far end of the mall. Her gun is pointed directly at him, and she looks calm and focused.

Luckily for Hannah who had called the police to arrest Marcus during their arguments, the police came just in time.
