Marcus behind bars

“If your lawyer does not get here on time, you may have a delayed case. We are trying our best to hasten things up for you, considering your personality.”

This was Officer Salam to Marcus. He was being a bit more helpful than earlier in the day when they had come to arrest him. Knowing who Marcus was, it was only reasonable to treat him with maximum respect, this is the richest man in the planet, not some common criminal.

They had prepared a judge who was ready to sit on the case that very day but Luciana had not shown up yet. However, Marcus was not perplexed. He knew Luciana too well to know that she would certainly show up and do her jobs perfectly.

“Well, I guess my lawyer is having a delay or she is probably trying to get things in order; evidence and all that proves my innocence before getting down here. I bet you, she is going to be here at any time.”

“In that case, I am just saying whatever happens, she needs to get here instantly.”

“I do understand that, Inspector.”
