The Password

“You would not tell me the passcode, right?” Derek asked Jessica, shaking her vigorously. She was blue with fear and uncertainty and Camelia was not regaining consciousness yet and then Marcus had not arrived yet.

She was looking at their lives as over. Her mind dabbled in fear.

“Why are you two being adamant?” His voice roared through the entire warehouse. “Your friend would not let out the passcode, neither would you!”

“I could get her to tell you the passcode if we can resuscitate her,” Jessica begged, her voice rusty with anxiety.

“And if we resuscitate her and you are unable to carry out this promise? What would become of you?”

Jessica swallowed hard as his question raised doubts within her. She wondered if she would succeed in convincing Camelia. She knew that her friend was a very firm person and would not easily tilt towards another view point and if she had given her life almost, protecting this cause, she may as well keep it to herself forever.
