Daylight streamed in through the windows and Marcus got down from his bed. He knew that in a short while, the police would be at his doorstep, ready to take him to court.

As early as six thirty am, Luciana began bugging him with calls.

Marcus suspected she was going to try to convince him and he refused to take the calls.
