Chapter 115

"Levi!" Brittany called out and ran towards him.

"Levi, what's wrong?" She held him up, or at least she struggled to. Levi was way heavier than her and she found it extremely difficult to keep him in a standing position without stuttering herself.

"I'm fine," he said softly.

"Get him to seat down," her mother said. Her face did nothing to hide the worry in her eyes. She was already seated upright, waiting for him to get better.

"Let me get you something to drink," Brittany said after she had managed to get him seated and relaxed.

"You don't have to worry. I just had a rush of thoughts. I am fine." He drew her back by the hand. He was alright, all he needed was peace of mind.

"You need to relax. Look, we have two heafty men guarding the door. No one can hurt us. I promise you. Now can you please relax." She knew exactly what was getting him so worked up but what she didn't know was that he had to pay her neighbour to keep mute.
